Spring Break 2011- Gulf Shores, AL

The Dickersons and Aunt Rae Rae

Our family feet....Davis' are the most precious of course.

Daddy taking score...The winner was...Andrea
Helping mommy play putt putt :) He is trying to teach me something about patience and golf.
Davis taking a break in mommy's lap before a round of putt putt :)

Curious George...Davis loved the sand and the ocean. He wanted to sit and play in both, but it was to windy and chilly.
Davis is ready for his 1st trip to the beach....I don't think he will get any sun on him.
Friends from far away places. Our friend Andrea, from Seinzheim, Germany, came to visit. She brought her nephew over to visit the USA and this was his 1st time to visit. Marius and Andrea went to the beach with us. In Germany you have to go a long way to get to a beach and apparently it is nothing like our beaches. Oh the things we take for granted!!!

Spring Break 2011- Washington D.C

During the 1st part of Spring Break this year Josh and I went to Washington D.C. Josh's dad and step mom live in D.C. It was the 1st time we have ever left Davis over night...boy oh boy was it hard. Davis was asleep when we left, so he wasn't awake to pull at my heart strings even more. It was very hard, and very emotional but he was in great hands. My parents kept him for 2 days and Josh's mom kept him for 2 days and picked us up from the airport. I was so happ to see my sweet boy...but it was nice to get away just Josh and I. It was our 4 year anniversary and Josh's 30th birthday celebration. It was a wonderful way to celebrate!! The lovely White House that....well, no comment. Our Nation's Beautiful Capitol..it is so beautiful up close :)
Raegan gave Josh some tickets to Ford's Theatre for his birthday. It was absolutely amazing to see the history in this building. The theatre was closed due to rehearsal for a play but we were abel to see the muesuem that is in the basement and the lifes history of Lincoln.

The Washington Monument

We watched the changing of the guards at the tombs of the unknown soilders. It was so quite you could hear a pin drop. There were also a few classes that honored the soilders with a wreath..every class was very respectful, it makes a teacher's heart glad when you see respectful students.

Josh & I enjoying some beautiful weather in Washington D. C. Arlington Cemertary is in the background. Wow, it was so surreal. To see the headstones of the bravest Americans...Thank you for your service and dedication.

Marcia & Terry taking us to Tippies Tacos :) It was delicious!!

Wow, time flies

This month Davis turned 8 months old. As you can tell he has gotten so big and active. He is rolling over like a champ, and a he acts as if his bed is a tumble gym. He is trying to crawl, but hasn't quiet yet figured out how to get it all going at once. He is babbling and saying DaDa...He says NaNa for mommy :) The past 8 months have gone by so fast but has been SOO much FUN!!! Thank you God for such a beautiful blessing!!

Happy New Year :)

For New Years, we visited Josh's family in Tennessee. Much of his family still lives in Murfreesboro, TN. Josh's dad and step mom were in town from Washington D.C. It was a great way to spend New Years. It was a great trip but we did not realize that a 4 hour trip would turn into a 6 hour trip with a 6 month old. Davis travels well, but wants to be out of his carseat after so long. Below are a few pictures from the trip. Davis with his Daddy, Granddad and Marcia

Davis and his Great Aunt Amy:
Josh's grandmother and cousin Griffin.
